Seven Canyons Starts Construction Of Club Village Clubhouse And Casitas $12 Million Complex In Sedona
Seven Canyons, the upscale private golf and residence club in Sedona, is beginning construction of its 30,700-square-foot clubhouse and a two-building complex of member casitas. The project and related improvements are valued at approximately $12 million.
Along with Central Park, a new children's play park including a swimming pool and pool house, the new facilities will complete the Seven Canyons major amenities program and position the community for continued marketing and sales success, reported Scottsdale-based Cavan Real Estate Investments, the developer.
Seven Canyons features a Tom Weiskopf-designed golf course and a state-of-the-art golf practice and instruction facility. The course is rated among the Top 100 Modern Golf Courses by Golfweek Magazine. A 3,500 square-foot restaurant called The Range House opened late last year. The unique 200-acre Seven Canyons community has Sedona's world-famous red rock views in all directions and is surrounded by 100,000 acres of the Coconino National Forest.
All of the new facilities will be in an old world architectural style, which has been the standard at Seven Canyons. The clubhouse will feature a golf shop and general retail store, fitness facility, spa treatment rooms, business center, locker rooms and concierge services. Designed for both casual and formal uses, the dining area will be anchored by a large fireplace under vaulted ceilings. It will also include a wine display and tasting area, a golf pub, and archways to covered outdoor patios. Outdoor amenities include an elegant courtyard entryway, a heated pool, cabanas, and additional spa treatment nooks.
Eight member casitas will be constructed in two 2,500-square-foot buildings adjacent to the clubhouse. The casitas will be furnished and available at daily rates to Seven Canyons members and guests who come from throughout the U.S. and abroad.
The clubhouse and casitas complex was designed by Douglas Fredrikson Architects, Inc., of Phoenix. Fredrikson has designed numerous noted private club and resort golf facilities including Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Coyote Lakes and Arizona Traditions in Surprise, Phoenix Country Club, La Quinta Private Club in La Quinta, CA, and Los Lagos Country Club in Hermosillo, Mexico.
"The highlight of the clubhouse will be the numerous courtyards and exterior event areas that will interact with the small, subdued structures. These will enhance the architectural drama and create a relationship with the outstanding natural environment of Seven Canyons," Fredrikson said.
In conjunction with construction of the clubhouse, additional membership opportunities were also announced. Annual, recallable and premier golf memberships, as well as a new social membership classification, are now available with prices beginning at $6,000. Membership financing is also available.
Seven Canyons offers fractional ownership programs at The Villas, a collection of elegantly furnished and appointed three-bedroom homes. Cavan is also planning two-bedroom units. The fractional ownership program includes unlimited usage and convenient flexibility in addition to a guaranteed minimum of 28 days of residence annually.
Premium high elevation homesites are available at Secret Ridge, an enclave of 14 premier parcels. Secret Ridge is adjacent to Rachael's Knoll, a prominent view site overlooking the canyons. A small neighborhood of 16 full-ownership three-bedroom, two-story homes with elevators has limited availability. A group of 20 large estate homesites called Solitude is sold out. Sales information and private tour arrangements are available by calling (928) 203-2100 or toll free 1-866-694-8844 and on the website at www.sevencanyons.com.
