Below is an interview with Greg Ellis, PGA, Director of Golf/General Manager at the Trilogy Golf Club at Vistancia. A 25 year Member of the PGA of America and has been involved in all facets of the Golf Club business; Private, Resort, and Daily Fee Golf courses. The following are a few traditional and non traditional golf centric questions that I love to ask influential people in the golf industry.
When did you start golfing and who introduced you do the game? I began golfing at age 7. My father introduced me to the game of golf.
What is your current home course? Trilogy Golf Club at Vistancia
To date, what is your proudest golf accomplish? I have helped 6-10 former assistant professionals to go on to become Head Golf Professionals, Directors of Golf and or General Managers.
What is your biggest golf pet peeve on or off the course? My biggest pet peeve is golfers that do not fix ball marks on greens.
What is your favorite golf destination? Pinehurst, North Carolina
What course is on your bucket list that you have not played yet? Augusta National
If you woke up tomorrow and could play one course you played before, where would you play? Linville Ridge Golf Club in Boone, North Carolina
