Great Course, Great food, Great Wedding

My wife and I are HUGE foodies. One of the first things that made us a match is our love of good food, drink and company. That being said...
We had our wedding Reception at Bogey's Steak House (Rusty Putter) on 9/10/11. There are not enough good things we can say about our experience there. Dennis Shaw, the manager was with us every step of the way from beginning planning until the last guest left. He was helpful, accommodating and a joy to work with. He personally helped serve me and my wife the evening of our wedding. He smiled and greeted all our guests and was present, on the floor, from the beginning to the end of our reception, attending to every detail.
Head chef, Cory Mingo went above and beyond what any of the many caterers could do or were willing to do(And we tried a ton of them in all of the Phoenix valley, not just Mesa where the event was). At one point in the evening my father asked for some horseradish at a carving station and Cory came out and served it himself to all of our guests, he didn't just but a bowl on the table near the beef... He personally served it to each individual who wanted it.
My bride and I LOVED every bite of the meal. Usually at a nice wedding one or two things are good and the rest is mediocre at best... At Bogey's, (Rusty Putter) EVERYTHING was exceptional on the dinner buffet. From the antipasto platters for the cocktail hour to out dinner buffet with over a dozen dishes. Everything tasted as if it had just been plated in the kitchen and served to you immediately, fresh and delicious. We did have our favorites though, the zucchini cakes and NY did stand out above the rest
The Staff was exceptional. Every person there was courteous smiling and helpful. Our guests never had an empty glass or a dirty dish in front of them. Almost every single guest at the wedding remarked about how outstanding the food and service was.
We also recommend the Mesa Mule from the bar (their version of a Moscow Mule) it turned out to be the drink of the week for us.
The best part about this is we were on a really strict budget and Dennis and his staff made all this happen for us.
If you are planning a memorable or event or just dining out for the evening I recommend this place above everything else in East Mesa. Exceptional food, great ambiance, a lovely wine list and exceptional service.
